Season 1995, Episode 1: Strange Bedfellows - Thoroughbred owner Graham McVeigh murders his gambling-addict brother, Teddy, after sabotaging a race to prevent him from paying debts. McVeigh then frames mob bookie Bruno Romano for Teddy's death before killing Romano in supposed self-defense. Columbo, forming an unlikely alliance with mob boss Vincenzo Fortelli, corners McVeigh, who, fearing mob retribution, confesses to both homicides and reveals the hidden murder weapon.
