Short on time? Here's the essentials:

In "Falling Skies" Season 3, humanity fights for survival against the alien Espheni. Tom Mason, now President, leads the 2nd Mass alongside his son Hal, a soldier struggling with alien influence, and Anne Glass, a doctor deeply concerned about their newborn daughter, Alexis. The season begins with the 2nd Mass aided by the advanced Volm, but internal threats and alien manipulation plague their efforts.

The core conflict revolves around the Espheni's plan to establish a grid across Earth, powered by harnessed humans and alien technology. Key turning points include the discovery that Anne's daughter, Alexis, is an alien hybrid, and the revelation of a human mole within their ranks. Hal is freed from alien control, but the season is marked by significant losses, including Arthur Manchester and Crazy Lee.

The season culminates with the Espheni's grid plan being thwarted. Karen Nadler is killed, and Anne and Alexis are found alive, with Alexis now appearing older and capable of removing alien parasites. Despite the Volm's offer to relocate humanity, the 2nd Mass chooses to continue fighting, now armed with Volm weaponry.

Season 3 of Falling Skies covers episodes 1-10. Here's everything that happened:

Season 3, Episode 1: On Thin Ice - Seven months after the arrival of the Volm, the 2nd Mass, now led by President Tom Mason, launches a daring rescue of harnessed children from a mine. The operation is aided by the Volm and their advanced weaponry, but Arthur Manchester is killed by a mole within the human ranks. The episode concludes with the birth of Tom and Anne's daughter, Alexis, and the revelation that Hal is still compromised by Karen.

Season 3, Episode 2: Collateral Damage - The 2nd Mass, aided by nuclear specialist Dr. Kadar, destroys an Espheni power plant fueling their war machines. Lars dies during the dangerous mission. Meanwhile, Anne grapples with her newborn Alexis' unsettlingly advanced abilities, and Hal's sleepwalking raises suspicions about his connection to Karen. The episode concludes with a warning of an imminent Espheni counterattack on Charleston.

Season 3, Episode 3: Badlands - A sniper attack on Charleston reveals the assailants are human soldiers, leading to a battle and the capture of Lt. Katherine Fisher. Crazy Lee is fatally wounded when a piece of rebar pierces her brain. Hal confesses to Maggie that Karen controls him via a brain implant, and Anne grows increasingly concerned about her baby Alexis's unusual abilities. The episode concludes with Charleston being attacked by planes.

Season 3, Episode 4: At All Costs (1) - After repelling an alien attack with Volm weaponry, Tom meets President Hathaway, while Hal battles an internal struggle. Anne discovers alarming information about her daughter, leading to her desperate flight from Charleston. The episode concludes with Tom, General Bressler, and Pope being shot down after a mission.

Season 3, Episode 5: Search and Recover (2) - After a plane crash, Tom and Pope must survive together, bonding over their pasts while evading Skitters. Meanwhile, Weaver leads a search for Anne and Alexis, only to discover Alexis is an alien hybrid. The episode concludes with the search party finding evidence of Anne but also Skitter tracks, while Tom and Pope narrowly escape Skitters after a fight, with Tom injured.

Season 3, Episode 6: Be Silent and Come Out - Hal, controlled by an alien "earworm," takes his father Tom hostage, demanding information about the Volm weapon. After a tense standoff and a dangerous procedure involving rebel Skitters, Hal is freed from the alien control, though he has no memory of his actions. The episode concludes with Tom setting out to find Anne and their daughter Alexis, who were previously taken.

Season 3, Episode 7: The Pickett Line - The Mason family is ambushed by outlaws while searching for Anne and Alexis. After a tense standoff, Tom returns to warn the Pickett family of an impending alien attack, leading to Tom's capture by the Espheni. Meanwhile, in Charleston, Lourdes is revealed to be the mole and assassinates President Hathaway.

Season 3, Episode 8: Strange Brew - Tom Mason awakens in a seemingly idyllic alternate reality where the alien invasion never happened, only to realize it's a fabrication by Karen. He's being mentally tortured for information about the Espheni's grid plan. After resisting the illusion, Tom is freed by Weaver and his team, but not before Karen is seemingly killed by Tom. The episode concludes with Tom and his team planning to attack Boston, one of the four cities targeted by the Espheni grid.

Season 3, Episode 9: Journey to Xibalba - Tom returns to Charleston, revealing Anne and Lexi's deaths, and vows revenge. An explosion devastates the Volm facility, killing all but Cochise and revealing Lourdes as the mole. Trapped underground, survivors face dwindling oxygen, while Tom confronts Lourdes, who is ultimately subdued. The episode concludes with the survivors emerging, determined to use the Volm weapon against the Espheni.

Season 3, Episode 10: Brazil - After destroying a key Espheni base, the Volm plan to relocate humanity to Brazil. Tom Mason refuses, leading to a confrontation. Karen Nadler is killed by Tom and Maggie. Anne and their daughter Alexis are found alive, with Alexis now appearing as a six-year-old and able to remove parasitic eye worms. The humans are ultimately allowed to continue fighting, armed by the Volm.
