Season 12, Episode 1: Barely Gone - Firehouse 51 is forced to share space with Firehouse 17 after a kitchen fire. Gallo says goodbye as he moves to Michigan to help his aunt. Severide investigates an arson case, causing tension with Kidd. Boden and Herrmann catch the arsonist. Brett's upcoming wedding to Casey is confirmed.


Season 12, Episode 2: Call Me McHolland - Mouch seeks to rebrand himself, pushing to be called McHolland and shedding his "couch" legacy. Ritter urges Herrmann to address his hearing issues, which almost endanger Kylie during a call. Cruz considers leaving 51 to take the lieutenant's test. Brett continues her search for the perfect wedding venue. The episode concludes with Herrmann learning he needs hearing aids.


Season 12, Episode 3: Trapped - Brett and Violet pursue a suspected kidnapping after a woman mouths "help me". Mouch investigates the new firefighter, Gibson. Herrmann uses hearing aids. Season 12, Episode 10: The Wrong Guy - While Severide is acting ranking officer, Kidd fights to save her Girls on Fire program. Cruz deals with a threat related to Javi's past. Funding for Girls on Fire is restored. Cruz sets up a sting operation, and Javi learns the truth about his "uncle".


Season 12, Episode 11: Inside Man - Severide is kidnapped after armed men steal Truck 81. Ritter's cop boyfriend helps locate the rig.
