Season 2 of Longmire covers episodes 1-13. Here's everything that happened:

Season 2, Episode 1: Unquiet Mind - A prison transfer goes awry, forcing Walt to pursue serial killer Wayne Durell and his escapees, who take hostages up a blizzard-swept mountain. Battling hypothermia and hallucinations, Walt uncovers the critical reveal of Theo Half Moon's burial site. Shot and falling into an icy river, Walt ultimately finds shelter, signifying a personal rebirth.


Season 2, Episode 2: Carcasses - Walt investigates a body in a compost heap, identified as Ross Lanten, a man with a history of abuse. The investigation reveals Lanten raped Holly Whitish decades prior. Her son, Dacus, confesses to the murder after discovering his parentage and Lanten's cruelty. Cady arrives in Denver to meet Detective Fales.


Season 2, Episode 3: Death Came in Like Thunder - Walt investigates the poisoning of Basque shepherd Markos Vayos. His wife confesses, fearing a land sale. Cady learns details of her mother's murder, and Fales suspects Henry. Henry implies he killed the man responsible for Walt's wife's death, forging a silent pact.


Season 2, Episode 4: The Road to Hell - A cattle heist leads Walt's team to a murdered driver and a rustler, Bobby Dunwood. Frustrated by the justice system, stock detective RJ fatally crashes his truck to prevent Dunwood from harming others. Meanwhile, Vic receives mysterious anniversary flowers, unsettling her. The episode concludes with Vic telling her husband, "They've found me," revealing a dangerous past she's been hiding.


Season 2, Episode 5: Party's Over - Walt investigates the murder of teenage girl Tanya Dove, found shot dead in an alley, leading to a case involving illegal prescription drug sales. The investigation uncovers a network of teenagers stealing from the elderly. Ultimately, Justin Bollman accidentally shot Tanya during a struggle over drugs. Meanwhile, Cady returns home, finding Walt and Lizzie's budding relationship complicated. The episode concludes with Walt and Cady taking a fragile step towards reconciliation.


Season 2, Episode 6: Tell It Slant - Walt investigates the murder of a supposed psychic, Cassandra, after being tipped off by the "Contrary Warrior," a Cheyenne man who speaks in riddles. The investigation reveals Cassandra, whose real name is Cynthia Two Rivers, was researching her clients and was strangled. Walt also faces a public debate against Branch. The episode concludes with Aaron Two Rivers, the Contrary Warrior, confessing to strangling his sister after she planned to have him committed and stopped believing in him. He also reveals that the Cowleys' missing daughter is alive.


Season 2, Episode 7: Sound and Fury - Henry Standing Bear intervenes in a murder-for-hire plot, offering his services to a man wanting his wife dead to prevent the crime. Meanwhile, Vic is unnerved by the appearance of Ed Gorski, a former Philadelphia cop connected to her past. The episode concludes with Gorski severely beaten, and Walt realizing Henry hired Hector to assault Gorski to protect Vic.


Season 2, Episode 8: The Great Spirit - Walt investigates a dead body dragged by a wild horse, uncovering an illegal rodeo. He learns foreman Titus, the victim, exploited undocumented workers. Branch infiltrates the rodeo, leading to Cal's confession to Titus's murder over unfair pay. Walt concludes the episode by freeing the wild horse.


Season 2, Episode 9: Tuscan Red - An explosion on the reservation reveals Ethan Lone Elk's murder, killed before the blast. Walt discovers Ethan was force-fed alcohol and his body painted "Tuscan Red." Branch investigates the paint, while Nighthorse tempts him with political dirt. The episode ends with Dolan Lone Elk taken into federal custody.


Season 2, Episode 10: Election Day - On Election Day, Cady is critically injured in a hit-and-run accident, shifting Walt and Branch's focus from the election. Vic and Ferg investigate, uncovering that Billy Barnes was the intoxicated driver. His father, Bob, ultimately takes the blame, leading to his arrest. The episode concludes with Walt winning the election, retaining his position as sheriff.


Season 2, Episode 11: Natural Order - Walt investigates a game warden's murder, linking it to poached elk and a rare supplement, revealing a desperate husband as the killer. As Walt's vision quest concludes, Cady awakens from her coma. Branch uncovers Jacob Nighthorse's deliberate involvement in Cady's accident, who then advises Branch to move on.


Season 2, Episode 12: A Good Death is Hard to Find - Walt investigates a severed finger from a murdered inmate, connecting it to a new killing and a 20-year-old robbery. He uncovers prison guard Hank orchestrated the inmate's death. Meanwhile, Vic reveals she's being stalked by Ed Gorski, who blames her for his partner's suicide. Walt confronts Gorski, warning him to leave town.


Season 2, Episode 13: Bad Medicine - Detective Fales' murder investigation intensifies, implicating Henry, who admits hiring Hector to beat Miller Beck, not kill him. Branch pursues David Ridges, linked to Cady's accident and a faked suicide. The episode concludes with Henry's arrest for Beck's murder and Branch being shot by a "dead man" on the reservation.
