The conflict escalates when Antonio, a respected Pack member, is fatally wounded protecting Jeremy and dies, fueling the Pack's desire for revenge. Elena reveals her werewolf nature to Philip to save him, which ultimately leads to their breakup as he cannot accept her true identity.
