Lucas Hood, an ex-con, assumes the identity of the murdered sheriff in Banshee, Pennsylvania, seeking a new life but constantly drawn back into crime. He navigates the corrupt town alongside his former accomplice, Carrie Hopewell, who tries to live a normal life, and often clashes with the ruthless crime lord Kai Proctor. This season, the dangerous Chayton Littlestone, leader of the Redbones gang, returns seeking revenge, initiating a violent conflict that engulfs the town.

Chayton's war escalates, leading to a brutal attack on the Cadi where Hood's deputy, Siobhan Kelly, confronts Hood about his true identity before Chayton brutally kills her. Devastated, Hood hunts Chayton down and kills him in a fierce fight. Meanwhile, Hood and his crew execute a daring heist at Camp Genoa, but the fallout leads to Carrie, Job, and Sugar being captured by Colonel Stowe.

Hood and Gordon storm Camp Genoa to rescue their friends, but Gordon is fatally wounded during the mission. Job is shot and kidnapped, leaving Hood reeling from the losses. Hood ultimately relinquishes his role as sheriff, leaving deputy Brock Lotus in charge, as the season ends with Job's fate uncertain.

Season 3, Episode 1: The Fire Trials - Hood, Brock, and Siobhan avenge Emmett's death by executing his neo-Nazi killer. Carrie, now a waitress, struggles with her new life. Chayton Littlestone returns, seeking revenge and initiating a violent conflict by stealing weapons from a U.S. Marine convoy. Hood, seeing an opportunity, plans to rob Camp Genoa. The episode ends with Nola Longshadow vowing revenge for Alex's death.

Season 3, Episode 2: Snakes and Whatnot - Proctor moves his dying mother into his home, hiring Brock's ex-wife as her hospice nurse. Carrie ends her affair with Stowe. Hood and Carrie investigate tunnels under Camp Genoa. Redbones attack Rebecca at Proctor's home, but Clay Burton brutally kills them. The episode concludes with someone pointing guns at Hood.

Season 3, Episode 3: A Fixer of Sorts - Hood is arrested by Agent Phillips, but both are captured by Brantley, seeking Jason Hood's stolen money. Nola Longshadow attacks Burton at Proctor's mansion and is killed. Tommy Littlestone disobeys Chayton and attacks Proctor's club, leading to Billy Raven reluctantly killing Tommy. Hood escapes Brantley, saving Phillips, who reveals he sent Hood's file to Siobhan.

Season 3, Episode 4: Real Life is the Nightmare - Siobhan confronts Hood about his past, leading her to demand his resignation. Job and Sugar infiltrate Sterling Industries for the Camp Genoa heist. Carrie spirals, quitting her job and engaging in reckless behavior. Hood, facing the loss of Siobhan, attacks Proctor. The episode concludes with Chayton readying his army for an assault.

Season 3, Episode 5: Tribal - Chayton and the Redbones attack the Cadi to avenge Tommy's death. The station is locked down, trapping Hood, his deputies, and Proctor. Season 3, Episode 10: We All Pay Eventually - Hood and Gordon storm Camp Genoa to rescue Job, Sugar, and Carrie. Gordon is fatally wounded during the rescue.
